Apple Roses

I’m currently going through a season where I’m trying to make meals and bake goodies with items that I have already in my kitchen. Things are getting crowded… maybe a wee bit out of control.

Wanting to find a fun use for the puff pastry I had, I rolled over to Pinterest and found a recipe for Apple Roses. I followed the blogger’s process, but only used one Apple to a full sheet of dough, and they came out pretty neat. I was most impressed by the color change of the apple slices once they start to char at the ends…

Overall, it was a simple process with pretty impressive results. One round make six “roses”, and they taste amazing. I definitely recommend using decent quality ingredients since there are so few involved in the recipe.
